You will meet a charismatic Birštonas guide in the very heart of Birštonas and together, during the journey, you will hear the personal story of each attraction through direct communication.You will travel six kilometres along roads and paths, in the only tourist electric cars in the Baltic States, listening to an informative, memorable story:

  • learn about the history of Royal Birštonas;
  • You will visit Vytautas Park, the historic Old Town of Birštonas;
  • Visit the spectacular central park, the Mineral Water Gallery and the Žvėrinčius Forest;
  • Find out how to stay active in Birštonas, cycling, boating, and relaxing in the spa centres;
  • learn to get healthy using the Kneipp method. We will try this therapy and taste the water of the first mineral springs of Birštonas.

Visiting the highest observation tower in Lithuania by electric car

We will visit the Nemunas Loops Regional Park and Birštonas Lookout Tower, the highest in Lithuania. Those who climb the tower will find themselves 92 metres above sea level. The tower itself is 45 metres high and you will have to climb 300 hundred very comfortable steps to reach it. From the king of the lookout towers built on the Škėvonys ridge, you will admire the windings, high slopes, horns and outcrops of the river Nemunas, unique in Europe. We will have a bird’s eye view of the unique and enchanting landscape of Lithuania.

BIRŠTONAS MANOR

Birštonas Manor is an authentic experience Education House, located just 10 kilometres from Birštonas, Jundeliskes in the countryside. Here you will experience the cultural rituals, customs and traditions of the Panemunė Dzūkija region, the importance of crafts, folk songs and dances, folklore and culinary heritage. Get to know the hospitable people of Panemunė Dzūkija, who will treat you to the delicacies of their land, tell you how well they know how to make Lithuanian mead, sing the songs handed down by their elders and upholding traditions.

The exclusive culinary heritage education “Dzūkiški vaiši” and “Lietuviško mead” tasting invites you to an unforgettable journey to learn about the traditions of the Dzūkija region. A real gourmet experience awaits you at the farmstead “Birštonas dvarelis”: you will be able to taste and savour ancient, authentic dishes cooked in a clay oven, and during the education, you will hear the history of the origin of these dishes. At the same time, you will taste “Lithuanian mead”, a unique Lithuanian drink that is now well-known on international markets. You will learn how this ancient drink, which has become a true ambassador abroad, originated and how it is made. You will not only experience the taste, but also the story behind the old traditions, the Lithuanian welcome and the generosity of the Dzūks.

  • discovering and tasting mineral springs;

  • Sports education – exercising in the Japanese “Dr. Izumi Tabata” method surrounded by pine trees with a professional trainer.

A romantic and intoxicating royal resort by night

Accompanied by a charismatic, cheerful tour guide, you will travel in a comfortable musical electric car through the romantically lit streets of Birštonas at night. You will explore the hunting grounds of the Grand Duke Vytautas Manor of Lithuania, admire the historic spa, Kurhaus, church towers, breathe the iodine-infused air in the salt evaporation gallery and refresh yourself with Birštonas ‘ incredibly healthy mineral water. You will have the opportunity to hear the history of the origin and production of Lithuanian mead, and get acquainted with the unique Lithuanian drink that today plays the role of an “ambassador” abroad.

Electric car education – hunting for princes on the Birštonas Manor trails

  • Accompanied by a tour guide, a historian-educator, and a tour guide, the pupils set off in the only eco-friendly electric cars in the Baltic States along the trails of the Birštonas resort: the Žvėrinčius Forest, Vytautas Park and the Vytautas Mound, and the Škėvonys Ridge with the highest observation tower in Lithuania. Since 1413, all the most famous kings, grand dukes and their ladies have passed through the trails.
  • During the ride, an audio guide will give pupils of all ages a history lesson of the Royal Hunting and Recreation Estate : how the hunting estate was organised for economic reasons in Europe in the Middle Ages and the titles of those who participated in the Birštonas hunts; how the months-long hunts were used by King Jagiellon and the Grand Duke Vytautas to discuss political issues; and how the hunting estate was used by the 15th and 16th centuries to discuss the political issues. The great Birštonas Forest was preserved, maintained and inherited in the 16th century.
  • After stopping at the most important historical recreation sites, the pupils are involved in practical tasks: climbing the Vytautas Mound; testing their endurance at the hunting grounds in the Žvėrinčius Forest, exploring the vastness of the Birštonas Forest, which is believed to be the site of the 1422 Treaty of Melnos, and climbing the highest tower in Lithuania.
